Purim! Camera! Vday! Oh the excitement…

Wadup Maniacs 馃檪

BIG NEWS!
I bought a new camera!!!!!
Canon 650D rebel t4i 馃檪
It’s about fucking time…Now that I have a legit mic and an awesome camera, wait for a lot more pro videos on my channel 馃檪

So, how was Valentine’s day?
Mine was great!
Me and my boyfriend Michael went out for dinner at a restaurant. it was packed! After that we decided to go play some billiard, which was very not typical for us, but you have to spice up your lives once in a while..
I totally kicked his ass, but that’s not his fault. when I was a kid our family used to have a pool table at home and me and my brothers [mostly me and myself] used to play it. so I had some advantage…

Michael also made me some vegan chocolates that were absolutely amazing and delicious…

Anyway, for those of you who are not Israeli, you can’t imagine the craze that’s going on all over the country.
Why you ask?
Well, it’s PURIM TIME!

Purim is a Jewish holiday we celebrate every year at around this time, where we wear costumes and party till we drop, just like Halloween – but Jewish. we celebrate this holiday to remember that the Jews were saved from a massacre in Persia, and we drink wine and eat crappy sweets, wear costumes and party our asses off.

This is my favorite holiday of all, I mean, who doesn’t love to dress up and be someone else for a while?

BTW, also here, as well as in the US, a lot of the girls take this opportunity to dress like sluts, and yours truly is no different 馃檪

I have so many plans for this year! I’m going to a ton of parties, Zombie Walk and an Anime Convention!
I’m not gonna say what’s my costume for this Purim…Your’e going to have to wait for my next post..
But for now, here are some pics from previous Purim costumes 馃檪

Makeup Photoshoots And Japanese Calligraphy!

Sup maniacs? 馃檪

As you all know [caz you obviously read my hard worked ‘about’ tab above], I’m a university student, and im pleased to announce that….

*DRUM ROLL*

This is the last week of the first semester in my second year in the university, and in 4 more exams, I cant say I finished half a degree!

I’m so eager to finish my studies! I’m just so tired from it and I seriously lack the energy to go through with it.
But anyway, this week we’re having a Japanese calligraphy workshop [I’m majoring in Asian studies], and it’s my second time participating in it.
In the workshop we carve the calligraphy in wood [kokuji shodou], it’s a very unique calligraphy technique, and this year I’m carving the character for “fire”.
Today we just wrote it on paper and in the next days we’ll carve it on wood. In the next post I’ll show you my progress 馃檪

Last year’s workshop, I carved a much more complicated character, “consideration”, in order to convey the need for consideration towards animals. What’s funny is that my boyfriend [not at that time] Michael carved an “animal” character, which is kinda complementary 馃檪

So yesterday I made a vegan lunch for me and my Michael. i made Quinoa, Asian green beans with sesame seeds and Korean style tofu [dubu jorim]…it was delicious! OMNOMNOM!

Oh and another thing, a vegan friend of mine who studies makeup, wants me to model for her! So this week we made some trial photoshoots… And I got her to curl my hair!
LOVE IT!
I’ll upload more pics on the next post!

Things are getting more solid with The Twilight Saga Parody and it’ll be on my channel in the following days…
I’m sooooo excited!
I can’t wait for when my hard work will be out there on YouTube 馃檪
And apparently I’m not the only one! Here are some Twilight fans who are excited about my upcoming parody!

Snow In Israel – Winter 2013!

Sup Maniacs 馃檪
Guess what?
It snowed in Israel!
Well, there are places in Israel that snow every winter, but in my city – Jerusalem, it doesn’t snow every year and that why its such a HUGE event for all of us!
It’s funny, because it doesn’t snow frequently we don’t really know how to handle our normal lives when it snows, so the public transportation stops, schools are off, all the stores are closed, and a snowy day becomes a holiday in no time 馃檪
So in my snowy holiday yesterday, I stayed home cause the university was closed.
Alina imas [check her channel here! http://www.youtube.com/user/alinyanart], my best friend and flatmate, made us vegan breakfast with a vegan Shakshuka [Israeli food that usually uses eggs] and I made us vegan tomato soup and Moroccan porridge named Lchshu, which is a traditional dish in my family to cook when it snows [I’m half Moroccan half Bulgarian, which means my ancestors came to Israel from these countries], cause it has so much garlic and Coriander, that it makes it the perfect natural antibiotic medicine for the cold and snowy days.
But off course we didn’t stay eating all day at home when it’s snowing!
We went outside to play like little kids 馃檪
We took some pics and we made a snow cat!
